The Central Election Commission (CEC) set up the electoral councils of the electoral districts of the first level for the new local elections that will take place in Leuseni and Nemteni communes of Hancesti district, Jora de Mijloc commune of Orhei district, Volovita commune of Soroca district and Parlita commune of Ungheni district. The decision was taken by the CEC in its April 10 meeting, IPN reports.
Under the Election Code, the district electoral councils during three days will choose the chairperson, deputy chairperson and secretary from among the members by secret ballot.
The councils will also make public the information about the place (bureau), date and hour wen documents will be accepted from applicants for the post of mayor, 24 hours before the start of the document acceptance process.
