Ceadir-Lunga councilor Sergey Ganev found dead in forest

Local councilor of Ceadir-Lunga Sergey Ganev, who went missing on May 1, was discovered dead in a forest near the town, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the local publication www.gagauzinfo.md. According to the Ceadir-Lunga police, the body was found not far from his car. Supposedly, the councilor had on him a large sum of money. Some time earlier, he withdrew about US$200,000 from his bank account. Earlier, Serghei Ganev served as the chairman of the Ceadar-Lunga Town Council. Before the tragedy, he worked as a councilor and as an entrepreneur in the construction sector. The councilor left home on May 1 and did not return.
