The councilor of the Christian Democratic Popular Party (CDPP) from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Eugenia Bulat declined her position of councilor and, as such, of member of the formation as a reaction to what she called “antidemocratic proceedings” which decided “the alienation through auction of the media stations “Antena C” and “Euro-TV””. Eugenia Bulat made this announcement in a statement released on Wednesday, December 20. Sources from within the CMC told Info-Prim Neo that Bulat submitted the request to leave the faction to its leader Alexandru Corduneanu, on December 15, the second day after the session which decided the alienation of the municipal stations. Because that request was not accepted, Eugenia Bulat submitted another request on Wednesday, December 20, to the interim Secretary of the CMC Nicolae Manastarli. Alexandru Corduneanu could no be found to comment on the situation. Eugenia Bulat is the chief editor of the culture and literary creation of the young generation Journal “Clipa Siderala”, member of the Writer’s Unions in Moldova and Romania. Next on the Christian democrat list in the CMC is Iulian Condur, who previously held the function of vice-president of the youth wing “Generatia Tanara”, after which he was excluded from the ranks of CDPP. After the departure of Eugenia Bulat, the CDPP fraction is left with 5 councilors out of 8, Info-Prim Neo specifies.
