CCCEC officer involved in serious accident

A officer of the Center for Fighting Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCCEC) was involved in a car accident in Sangera town, on Thursday evening, March 10. Three people, including a minor, were hospitalized. Traffic Police press officer Dana Andronic told Info-Prim Neo the accident occurred around 9 PM, at the crossing of Chisinau and Tighina streets in Sangera. According to police, the 27 year old inspector at CCCEC’s Anticorruption Department was driving a Seat vehicle. He drove on the opposite direction lane and collided with a Fiat car, driven by a 34 year old woman. As a result, the Seat driver suffered a concussion and a closed traumatic brain injury. Police say he left the Emergency Hospital immediately after the medical examination. His drunkenness will be determined using the collected samples. The woman in the Fiat was admitted to the intensive care unit. The passenger, a 12 year old child, suffered several fractures. The case is being investigated.
