Steaua beat the second-division team Universitatea Cluj 1-0 and qualified for the second round of Romania’s Cup. Moldovan fullback Catalin Carp showed a good play, including in the offense, IPN reports.
Tahar scored the only goal in the 81st minute. Steaua is the current holder of the championship. Catalin Carp played three matches for this team within the championship too.
Carp signed for Steaua in summer, after leaving CFR Cluj. He started to play at Zimbru, but entered the big football together with Dinamo Kiev.
