Catalin Carp fails to qualify for final of Russia’s Cup

The team Ufa that includes Moldova’s Catalin Carp failed to qualify for the final of Russia’s Football Cup. In the semifinals, the team trained by Sergey Semak lost in Moscow to Lokomotiv 0-1, IPN reports.

Manuel Fernandes scored the only goal in the 44th minute. In the final, Lokomotiv plays against Ural. Carp’s team can yet reach the European cups through the championships, where it ranks fifth. On April 9, Ufa meets the leader Spartak Moscow.

Catalin Carp started his career of footballer at Zimbru. He also played in the championship of Romania for CFR Cluj, Steaua Bucuresti and Viitorul Constanta.
