Cases of organized transportation of voters witnessed in Rezina and Copanca, Promo-Lex

Two cases of organized transportation of voters were reported in Copanca and Rezina by observers of Promo-Lex Association since the opening of polling stations, the Association’s programs director Nicolae Panfil was quoted by IPN as saying in a press briefing.

Also, the observers reported eight cases of filming or photographing of ballots and two cases of non-observance of COVID-19 protection measures.

In general, the polling stations were opened on time – 86% of them. Some of the polling stations were opened one-two minutes later or earlier.

In about 6% of the polling stations, the triage for preventing the spread of COVID-19 wasn’t respected, while in four cases, the observers of Promo-Lex had their access to or free overseeing in polling stations restricted.

In six cases, the filming operations inside polling stations were interrupted primarily to technical glitches. In 16 cases, electoral posters were noticed within 100 meters from the polling station.

In seven cases, the sealing of ballot boxes wasn’t ensured according to procedure, with four seals. There were reported two cases of malfunctioning of the state automated information system Alegeri owing to the absence of Internet connection and three cases of unjustified voting in a group. At a polling station, there was no notice about polling stations.

Promo-LEX has 600 static observers at national polling stations. 160 national observers were divided into mobile groups and visit polling stations that weren’t included in the monitoring effort. 41 static observers work in the Transnistrian region. The Observation Mission also has observers outside the country.
