The legal case started against a former inspector of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime, who mortally hit a woman by his car, was remitted to court, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office. The evidence collected by the prosecutors shows that the 28-year-old man, driving a BMW car on Alexandru cel Bun St, did not give way to a bus traveling legally. The two vehicles collided and the BMW was projected onto the sidewalks, striking a woman. She died in the hospital shortly afterward. The prosecutors established that the BMW had a license plate that did not belong to it. Shortly after the accident, the inspector tendered his resignation. He faces 3 to 7 years in jail and may be banned from driving vehicles for a period of up to four years. The accident happened on June 23. That morning, the 45-year-old victim came from Leova district and was waiting for her daughter, who studies in Chisinau.
