Currently, the ex-deputy minister is investigated under house arrest. If his blame is proven, he will be fined or jailed for up to six years and barred from holding particular posts or performing particular activities for a period of five to ten years, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in the period between 2014 and 2016, the ex-minister, abusing his position, bought a building to the value of almost 1 million lei from the national telecoms carrier SA Moldtelecom through the agency of particular persons.
