The police discovered four F1 grenades, fuzes for antitank grenades and over 1,000 cartridges - 5.45mm and 7.62mm caliber - for Kalashnikov guns in the attic of the house of a Durlesti inhabitant.
Adrian Jovmir, spokesman for the General Police Commissariat, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 51-year-old man took part in the armed conflict on the Nistru. In his house, the police also found a bottle with an unidentified substance that looked like mercury.
The ammunition was sent for ballistic examination. It depends on the results of the examination whether the man will be prosecuted. He faces fine of 6,000 to 12,000 lei, community service or up to threes' imprisonment for illegally keeping, selling or for stealing firearms and ammunition.
