The carbineers will play the main role in ensuring and restoring public order, while the police will be responsible for maintaining it. According to a draft law approved by the Cabinet, through better organization of the law enforcement agencies, the response time in case of incidents will be reduced to 15 minutes, IPN reports.
Another novelty is the creation of 5 mobile intervention units, which will ensure regional coverage for Causeni, Cahul, Ungheni, Orhei and Edineț. In case of urgent interventions, the principle of the closest team will be applied.
The amendments also refer to the improvement of professional performance of carabineers by regulating the work of the Training Center, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
