The car of the director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) Nicolae Raileanu, which caught fire at a parking lot in Chisinau on Tuesday evening, supposedly blew up because of a grenade. After the April 11 meeting of the Government, Minister of the Interior Alexei Roibu said a plate that allegedly formed part of a grenade was found at the scene, Info-Prim Neo reports. The minister said that a series of versions are examined and the witnesses of the incident are questioned. The pictures taken by the video cameras installed near the parking lot are to be analyzed. ANRE director general Victor Parlicov said that Nicolae Raileanu was lucky to escape serious injuries. According to unofficial reports, Nicolae Raileanu received a number of letters with threats. Alexei Roibu said that he does not know about this fact. Nicolae Raileanu will be questioned when he gets over the shock. A car caught fire at a car park located on Testemitanu St in Chisinau in the evening of April 10. The fire extended to another car. The first car that belonged to the ANRE director Nicolae Raileanu was practically destroyed.
