Two cars collided at the intersection of the Chisinau streets București and Bulgară in the afternoon of November 9. One of the vehicles caught fire as a result of the impact. Firefighting teams and ambulances arrived at the scene and vehicle traffic was partially restricted in the area.
Contacted by IPN for details, Chisinau Police Division press officer Natalia Stati said one of the cars involved in the accident had a gas installation and this exploded. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
An investigation is underway. The driver to blame for the accident faces a fine of 1,500 lei and six penalty points.
