Car accidents claim two lives

Two young persons were killed in traffic accidents on Sunday. According to the General Police Commissariat, an unidentified man aged 20-25 died after he was struck by a Toyota-Yaris car on the Chisinau – Balti route at 22.10. The police in Sangera are investigating the case. Only five minutes later, the 25-year-old driver of a BMW-720 died in a road accident on the Anenii-Noi – Bulboaca route. Allegedly, the man lost control of the car and crashed it into a tree. He died on the spot, while the four passengers, all from Anenii-Noi town, were rushed to the hospital with different bodily injuries. Three traffic accidents involving women happened in Chisinau. A Ford-Focus car hit a 20-year-old woman riding a bicycle on Moscova Blvd. The young woman sustained different injuries. A BMW-525 collided with a Scoda-Fabia at the intersection of Dosoftei and Lazo streets. The three-year-old daughter of the female driver of the BMW received injuries. A Opel-Astra crashed into a Mercedes C 200 driven by 44-year old woman at the intersection of Sciusev and Banulescu-Bodoni streets. The 19-year-old driver and the passenger of the Opel-Astra sustained injuries. Thirteen road accidents occurred in Moldova on Sunday, September 20. They resulted in two deaths and 21 persons injured.
