The City Hall of the Municipality of Chisinau is to decide whether to support the construction of a school in Condrita. At present those 70 pupils from the village study in a building which does not correspond to the requirements for a proper educational process. Several public institutions are placed in the same building. According to Mayor Vasile Zagareanu, other 20 pupils study in the neighbouring village. The head of the Capital Construction Department, Tudor Gnaciuc said, during a session at the Chisinau City Hall, that the General Department of Education and Youth and the specialised ministry consider that it is not reasonable to invest up to 15 million lei for building a school in Condrita. In turn, Interim Mayor Vasile Ursu said that municipal authorities are to decide whether to invest in the construction of a school or to repair the roads and provide buses in order that children can attend the school in the neighbouring village, which is situated at a 5 km distance. However, the mayor of Condrita considers that that the village needs the school, the transport and the roads, because of the lack of these elements cause the migration of qualified staff. Vasile Zagareanu adds that the village needs water and gas supply networks, the construction of which implies costs of MDL 700,000, and roadworks on a portion of 3.5 km. Local authorities asked the Chisinau City Hall to provide MDL 50,000 for building a dump and MDL 100,000 for the illumination system. Condrita has a population of 650. The village became part of the Municipality of Chisinau in 2003.
