Capital mayoralty does not repair anymore the roofs of apartment blocs

Municipal authorities decided not to spend any more money for repairing the dwelling space of the capital. The interim mayor of municipality Chisinau, Vasile Ursu, announced this on Monday operative meeting of the mayoralty. According to Ursu, the responsibility to maintain the blocs is up to inhabitants, and public authorities could redirect financial means for road repairing. In this context, he noted that last year the municipality allocated for roofs’ repairing 37 million lei and for road repairing 52 million lei. Recently, capital authorities announced their intention to liquidate municipal enterprises managing the dwellings, including on the reason that the majority of apartments of Chisinau are privatized.
