Alexandru Panfilii vacated the seat of director of the Capital Constructions Division of the Chisinau City Hall two days after acting mayor Ruslan Codreanu inspected the Division and ordered to constitute a commission of inquiry. The announcement of the resignation was made by Ruslan Codreanu in the October 29 meeting of officials of Chisinau’s services and divisions, IPN reports.
Ruslan Codreanu said he last week visited the Capital Constructions Division and found a disastrous situation and complete lack of responsibility on the part of employees. A number of objectives for which the Chisinau Municipal Council allocated money weren’t achieved or the works were started with great delay.
According to the acting mayor, in February the CMC allocated money to the Division for repairing the roof of the building of the Association of Invalids. The roof was then removed and the building is still without a roof. Meanwhile, the building was flooded for several times. “This is not the only case when having allocations approved by the CMC, the works were initiated with very great delay,” stated Ruslan Codreanu.
He made reference to one more unpleasant situation. The gym of education institution No. 152 was repaired in 2014, but the facility hasn’t been yet connected to the power and heat supply because the Division hasn’t signed the final receipt documents. “Money was located for repairing the roof of the Lyceum “Kiril and Metodii” in July, but the works started only last week,“ stated the acting mayor.
Several days ago, Ruslan Codreanu ordered to create a commission of inquiry for investigating the activity of Municipal Hospital No. 1. The acting mayor said changes to the hospital’s organigram were made without the consent of the CMC, which is the founder. After the commission presents its conclusions, a decision will be taken as to the punishment for the hospital’s administration.
