Moldovan canoeists Daniela Cociu and Maria Olărașu have qualified for the canoe single 200m quarterfinals, IPN reports.
Maria Olărașu achieved the time of 50.14 seconds, finishing last in the second heat, while Daniela Cociu, with the time of 49.14, ranked fourth in the third heat, out of 7 participants.
At the Paris Olympic Games, the Daniela Cociu-Maria Olărașu duo already qualified for the semifinals of canoe double 500m. The competition is held on August 9, starting at 11:30 a.m.
