Candidates for precinct electoral bureau members nominated

The Chisinau Municipal Council nominated candidates for membership of the precinct electoral bureaus in Chisinau, at the meeting held Friday, May 4. According to Ludmila Burlaca, head of the Local Public Administration Division, local councils nominate 3 out of 11 members of the precinct electoral bureaus. The other members of the precinct electoral bureaus are nominated by parties and other socio-political organisations represented in the Parliament. The Chisinau District Election Council will start to establish precinct electoral bureaus on May 10, so that they can begin their work 20 days before the election-day. Chisinau municipality will be divided into 233 precincts. Chisinau city residents will elect on June 3 their mayor and municipal councillors. Suburban residents will receive four ballot papers to elect Chisinau mayor general, Chisinau Municipal Council, as well as the mayor of the suburban locality and the local town council.
