Lawyer Svetlana Balmuș is the candidate proposed by President Maia Sandu for the post of member of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP). The candidate was chosen from among civil society by a special commission, IPN reports.
Svetlana Balmuș is a justice expert at the Institute for European Policies and Reforms. She has 19 years’ experience as a magistrate.
The four candidates admitted to the first stage of the contest qualified for the second, interview stage that was held on September 22.
