The Central Election Commission (CEC) warns that political campaigning on the election day and the day before the election day is banned. October 28 is the last day campaigning is possible, IPN reports.
According to the CEC, no electoral propaganda or covering of electoral campaigns is allowed on October 29 and 30. Also, the electoral competitors cannot appear in TV or radio programs and cannot transfer money to and from their ‘Electoral Fund’.
Dissemination of electoral propaganda on the mentioned days by the mass media, election runners and people is an administrative offense that is punished with a fine of 500 to 1,000 lei in the case of private individuals and of 2,000 to 2,500 lei in the case of electoral competitors.
