Parents and children are urged to keep calmness after a number of false reports were distributed last night on an anonymous Telegram channel, with threats to a number of schools located in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said that all the responsible state institutions were notified and appropriate measures were initiated.
“The police describe these actions as a hybrid attack aimed at confusing the citizens and causing panic in society. We note that the photographs placed on this channel, in which individuals display arms and munitions, are old and were taken from social media,” said the Inspectorate.
The police assure that all the necessary actions are being taken to determine who is behind that channel and what goals were pursued. The authors of the anonymous Telegram channel placed images of arms and suggested that gunfire on school grounds will occur.
