The Bureau for the Diaspora is inviting local authorities of first level, in partnership with members of the diaspora, current or former, diaspora associations, as well as co-donors, to apply for grants under the DAR 1+3 Program.
The Program aims to stimulate the development of local communities by attracting human and financial resources from the diaspora. It also seeks to maintain ties between the diaspora and their hometowns through local development programs and projects.
The Program is open to local authorities, regardless of the size of the respective communities, which act as leading applicants and are responsible for the implementation of the proposed projects.
The financing of the projects takes place on the basis of the “1+3” formula, having as partners (1) the diaspora, (2) the Government of the Republic of Moldova, (3) the local public authorities and (4) development partners / donors.
The local public authorities that received financial support under the DAR 1+3 Program two consecutive editions are not eligible for funding for the next edition.
The DAR 1+3 Program was launched in 2018.
