Calendar of commemorative days to be extended

The salaried employees who died because of professional diseases or accidents at work will be commemorated every year on April 28, under the amendments introduced by the Government to the Parliament's decision on the commemorative days and public holidays observed in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga, the proposal to institute this commemorative day was submitted by the National Confederation of Trade Unions and is aimed at highlighting the necessity of improving working conditions. The proposal is to be accepted by Parliament. A number of 500-600 persons are injured at work in Moldova every year. About 40 of them die.
