The Government withdrew the bill on the combating of extremist activities from the agenda of its October 29 meeting, IPN reports.
One hour before the Cabinet’s meeting, the National Participation Council requested the Government not to approve a number of articles of this bill concerning the work of the Security and Information Service.
The Council’s head Sergiu Ostaf said that these articles are unclear and weren’t subject to decisional transparency. The provisions refer to the blocking by the Security and Information Service of access to extremist information published on websites, portal, forums or social networking sites.
