Cabinet to hold working meeting in Comrat

The Cabinet will soon convene in Comrat to examine the bills designed to improve the quality of life of the people in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Prime Minister Pavel Filip announced in a meeting with the Governor of Gagauzia Irina Vlah and chairman of the Gagauz People’s Assembly Dmitri Constantinov, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the working meeting in Comrat will center on the actions that need to be taken to ensure stability and dynamic development in the region.

In the meeting with the Premier, Irina Vlah appreciated the fact that the Government’s work program contains provisions about the development of Gagauzia. In the end, the Governor underlined the importance of actively involving representatives of the autonomous unit in the process of drafting and approving the 2016 state budget law.

The officials also discussed aspects of the cooperation between the central and regional authorities, aimed at identifying solutions to the problems faced by the people in Gagauzia, the attraction of investment and promotion of infrastructure projects in Gagauzia, ensuring of public order and development of social services.

The sides noted that peace and stability are needed in the country for achieving the set goals and agreed to cooperate efficiently in this regard.
