Bus stations cancel booking fees

All 38 bus stations operating in the country, including 7 private ones, stopped charging booking fees, which ranged from 3 to 50 lei, following an intervention by the National Agency for Competition Protection, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Agency's director Viorica Carare told a news conference on Tuesday that in the immediate future the entrance toll and the parking fees charged by the bus stations would also be canceled. Currently these range from 5 to 10 lei. Viorica Carare announced that, based on complaints, the Agency initiated proceedings to check alleged abuses of dominant positions on the market by Moldovagaz, the Chisinau International Airport and the state enterprise Cadastru.
