Bus overturns in Chisinau: one person dies, nine in a serious condition, Update

A bus running on the Chisinau-Baltata route turned upside down on a Chisinau street this morning. A woman was killed, while another nine passengers were seriously injured and rushed to the Emergency Hospital. Paulina Iakimovski, senior PR specialist at the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on Vadul lui Voda St at about 7.30. According to witnesses, the minibuses skidded and overturned after one of the tires burst. [Update] The inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police Division's information and PR service, Uliana Catan stated for Info-Prim Neo that the Higer bus was heading for Baltata village of Criuleni district. Seventeen persons were traveling in the bus. One tire burst, but the bus continued moving. It stopped when it mounted the curb. The passengers broke the window to came out. [Update] An ambulance was passing by, taking a pregnant woman to the maternity hospital. The woman went out, allowing transporting the seriously injured persons first. The nine victims were rushed to the hospital during seven minutes by ambulances that came to the scene. The pregnant woman got a ride to the hospital. According to Uliana Catan, the woman who died in the accident is about 50. Her identity has not been yet established.
