A bus caught fire Wednesday evening while carrying 51 passengers from Chisinau to the Italian city of Padua. Nobody was hurt, IPN reports.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, at 8:27PM firefighters were alerted to the fire that started in the vehicle near the Leuseni border crossing. Two fire engines were deployed in response.
Some of the passengers were taken further to their destinations in Italy by a bus operated by the same carrier, and others were compelled to return home after losing their passports in the burnt luggage.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
