The Bureau for Diaspora Relations of the State Chancellery is organizing the first Diaspora Biennale in connection with the winter holidays. The event will create a communication platform for those who intend to return home on the occasion of the winter holidays. The Moldovans abroad who achieved results in different areas of activity will be awarded. The Diaspora Biennale will take place at the Palace of the Republic on December 26, starting at 6pm, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Bureau for Diaspora Relations says the participants in the Biennale will be nominated in five categories: “Journalists in the diaspora” (professional or amateur journalists who wrote about the diaspora or the Republic of Moldova outside the country); “Doctors without borders”; “Again home” (migrants who returned home and distinguished themselves in different areas); “DOR with talent” (participants in the DOR program who achieved results in different areas and promoted the Republic of Moldova) and “With love for home” (natives involved in the Local Development Program MiDL).
According to the Bureau, the event aims to disseminate the results of the migrants in different areas of activity, to promote and encourage migrants and to intensify the dialogue between the Government and the Diaspora.
