The buildings of the Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorba” and the Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital located on Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd. were struck off the list of facilities that will be privatized. Such a decision was taken by the Government on November 6, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi, these facilities were put up for privatization in 2007 in the hope that investors will construct new buildings for the given medical institutions, but no bids were submitted.
On the other hand, civil society said these buildings have a historical importance and mustn’t be privatized.
