Bugaiov scores brace in Kazakhstan Supercup

Moldovan international Igor Bugaiov was once again the man of the match for Lokomotiv Astana. He scored a brace against champions Tobol Kostanay in Kazakhstan Supercup, leading his team to a 2-1 victory. It is for the first time when the club wins the Cup and the Supercup, after only 2 years since its foundation. 26 year old Igor Bugaiov was Lokomotiv’s top scorer in the league, with 18 goals in 36 games. This winter, another Moldovan player, Valeriu Andronic, left the Astana club. He signed for Russian outfit Ska-Energhia Habarovsk. Both Bugaiov and Andronic played in Moldova’s friendly fixtures with Poland (0-1) and Andorra (2-1). Bugaiov even scored the winner against Andorra.
