Budget incomes and expenditure for this year will be increased by about 1 billion lei

The Parliament Friday decided to raise the budget incomes for 2007 by 920 million lei and the expenditure by over 1.1 billion lei. It also approved the 207 million lei rise in the budget deficit. The incomes from added value tax will be increased by 361 million lei, from income tax by 128 million lei, from export duties by 73 million lei etc. Over 242 million lei will be allocated to transport, road management, communications and informatics. Of this, 132 million lei will go to repair the roads, while 92 million lei to ensure the construction of the railway line Cahul-Giurgiulesti by increasing the authorised capital stock of the state-run company Moldova’s Railway. An additional 120 million lei will be apportioned among the agricultural sector, forestry, fish breeding and the water management sector. Some 90 million lei will be allotted to the healthcare sector and 74 million lei to education. The spending on culture, arts and sports will be increased by 62 million lei. About 10 million lei of this will be allocated to Teleradio-Moldova Company for paying the rent of relays and salaries to employees. After the budget is modified, the incomes will total 13.9 billion lei and the expenditure 14.2 billion lei.
