June 1 will be a nonworking day for budget-funded employees, but the Saturday of June 23 will be a working day instead. A decision to this effect was taken by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
In 2016, Parliament declared June 1, when it is celebrated the International Children’s Day, a nonworking day, but the required changes weren’t made to the legislation. That’s why the budget-funded employees have to work on another day instead of this.
