June 1, when it is celebrated the International Children’s Day, was declared nonworking day for budget-funded employees. Instead, June 24, which falls on a Saturday, will be a working day, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
A Parliament decision by which June 1 is declared nonworking day in the Republic of Moldova was adopted at the end of last May. The Government was to approve relevant amendments to the Labor Code, but hasn’t done it yet.
Therefore, those who will not work on June 1 this year will work instead on a Saturday.
