The budget-funded employees will be partially compensated the costs associated with the purchase of a home by mortgage. The compensation from the state budget will represent 50% of the costs, IPN reports, quoting the regulations approved by the Cabinet.
The home should cost at most 600,000 lei. This is the average value of houses eligible within the “First House” program that was determined since the launch of the program. The beneficiaries will repay 50% of the price during 25 years, regardless of the period of validity of the contract.
The compensation will be transferred monthly directly to the applicant’s authorized bank account to make sure that the state budget funds are used according to purpose.
The allocations in 2018 will total 20 million lei.
The participants in the program pay an initial installment of 10% of the home’s price. The home loan is repayable in 25 years.
