Budget employees from territories, promised bigger salaries

The employees of the institutions financed from the budgets of the administrative-territorial units will receive the promised increased salaries from January 1, 2009. At its Wednesday's sitting, on February 18, the Government decided to allot 467 million lei to the local public administration authorities, so that they distribute these means to the subordinated institutions and endorse the corresponding modifications in the financing plans, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mariana Durlesteanu, the minister of finances, reminded that 600 million lei were provided this year in the state budget for increasing salaries and that for the other terms of increasing – April 1, July 1. Additional proposals will be made on September 1 and October 1, 2009.
