Budesti village connected to central municipal water pipeline

After several years of expectation, Budesti village of Chisinau municipality was connected to the central municipal water pipeline. The new water pipe was put into operation on May 5, Info-Prim Neo reports. The pipe that is about 1 km long was laid through the center of the village and this enables to massively connect both the residents and the social facilities to it. Over 1 200 families or almost half of the village’s population will have running water at the first stage. A new project will be designed until the end of this year, based on a partnership between the Budesti mayor’s office and Apa-Canal Chisinau. It will allow supplying all the residents of the village with water. SA Apa-Canal Chisinau director general Constantin Becciev said the new pipe will contribute to the development of the local infrastructure. The inhabitants will have access to clean water. The construction of the pipe started in March and ended two months later. Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca said the connection of the whole municipality to the water and sewage system is one of the priorities of the Chisinau City Hall and Apa-Canal Chisinau and the projects implemented in a number of settlements of the municipality are a proof of this. “The local public administration aims to ensure decent living conditions for all the residents of the municipality, which is modern infrastructure with sewerage and water systems and new roads,” said the mayor. Mayor of Budesti Nina Costiuc said that today’s event is special for the settlement. “It is a first step towards connecting the inhabitants to the water pipeline that crosses the village,” she stated. The project was implemented with the financial support of the Chisinau Municipal Council and SA Ap-Canal Chisinau, which performed the designing works. Budesti is the 31st settlement of Chisinau municipality that is supplied with water by Apa-Canal Chisinau in a centralized way.
