The MPs of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists put forwards a no-confidence motion against the Gavrilița Government, arguing since this was invested a year ago, the Republic of Moldova has permanently experienced a pandemic, energy, economic and social crisis, IPN reports.

“Instead of taking relevant measures to alleviate the unfavorable effects of the crisis, the current Government has been concerned about the interests of political clans. On the 31st anniversary of the proclaiming of the independence of the Republic of Moldova, we have the weakest government that leads the country to a precipice. The Gavrilița Government’s actions destroyed the citizens’ purchasing power,” Socialist MP Vasile Bolea stated in Parliament.

He noted that the public debt grows weekly and the state can experience default. “If this Government is not removed, if we do not build a country for all the Moldovans, we will have a state that is abandoned by all the people,” said the MP.

After the presentation, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said the agenda of the sitting was considered and the meeting can be closed. He didn’t say when the motion can be examined. The next sitting was set for September 22.

A no-confidence motion to withdraw the support given to the Government when this is invested can be proposed by at least ¼ of the MPs.
