Broadcasting regulator to monitor fulfillment of TV advertising conditions

The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) will monitor over 20 TV channels to see how these meet the advertising conditions, for a period of five days each. A decision to this effect was taken in the Council’s March 24 meeting, IPN reports.

The following TV channels will be monitored: “Moldova-1”, “Publika TV”, “Canal 3”, “TV 7”, “Prime”, “CTC Mega”, ”Euro TV”, “Canal 2”, “Realitatea”, “N4”, “TVC 21”, “Accent TV”, “ITV”, “NTV Moldova”, “Acasa în Moldova”, “Familia Domashniy” (Super TV), “PRO TV Chisinau”, ”Jurnal TV”, “RTR Moldova”, “Ren Moldova”, “Exclusiv TV”, “ALT TV” and “Agro TV Moldova”.

In the same meeting, the Council summed up the results of the contest to use the available radio frequencies, announced on January 27 this year. The contest involved one applicant - F.P.C. „FLOR – T.V. ” S.R.L. This applied for a frequency for the radio station “Flor FM” to which the BCC issued a broadcast license for the 106,0 MHz – Floresti frequency. A new contest will be announced for the 71,66 MHz – Leova and 103,6 MHz – Soroca frequencies.

The Council also issued two retransmission authorizations to the TV studios “Rise-TV” (Sireti village, Straseni district and Costesti village, Ialoveni district) and “ARTOBAGO” (Corten village, Taraclia district), for the next period of activity, and renewed ten retransmission authorizations. Also, at the request of the administrator of “Albasat” S.R.L., it withdrew the retransmission authorization issued to the TV studio “Albasat – TV”, which stopped work.
