The Broadcasting Coordination Council on March 10 issued a license allowing using a radio frequency that was made available last December. The radio station Eco FM of Falesti will broadcast on the frequency 97.96, IPN reports.

The Council members welcomed the launch of the new radio station and recommended the representatives of the project to devote greater attention to the publication of documents. “I want to note the spontaneity and originality of those who aimed to implement this project. I’m glad that you are consistent and continue to be venturesome. I’m glad that you want to extend and hope you will succeed,” said Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca.

The representative of the radio station said that by this project they aim to promote science and to produce more programs intended for students.

In the same meeting, the Council imposed a minimum fine on the TV channels “Stil TV” and “OTV” because they didn’t start to broadcast programs over a year of the issuing of the broadcast license to them. The Council gave time, until March 14, 2016, to “A. Video-Content” SRL, which is the founder of the satellite TV channel “A. Film”, to start to provide the service for which it got a license.

The Broadcasting Coordination Council also approved recommendations concerning the method of switching over from analog terrestrial television to digital one.
