Eridana Cano, manager of the Program on Democracy Support in the Republic of Moldova, within which the website was created, said the new webpage was planned as a living instrument that will cover the activities, services and duties of the BCC. The renewal of the page is aimed at making the Council’s activities more transparent and accessible to the public.

The decision will no more be in PDF format so that it won’t be necessary to unload every document.
The website will also have an online database containing information about the holders of broadcast licenses for Moldova. The website also includes a search system that enables to look for information exclusively from the BCC’s site. It will be permanently updated. The English version will be launched in the near future.
A new assistance program of the EU and the Council of Europe for the BCC was lunched in the news conference. It includes a social campaign to disseminate advertisements about the protection of minors and consumers, a training course for employees of the Monitoring Division and two seminars for employees of the Licensing Division. The training course and the seminars will be given by foreign experts. Seminars will be also held for local and regional broadcasters from northern, southern and central Moldova. There will be bought new equipment that will enable the BCC to monitor the national broadcasters.
