Broadcasters in Moldova were obliged by the Audiovisual Coordination Council to increase the content levels of music composed or performed in Moldova.
The proportion of the total number of musical items broadcast shall be not less than 30% Moldovan music items for radio licensees, and not less than 20% for music TV stations. The Audiovisual Coordination Council approved a decision in this respect on April 12.
The decision also stipulates that domestic production songs shall be equally distributed during the broadcasting day.
Initially, the Council was proposed for approval a share of domestic music of 25% and 15%, respectively. The majority of members pleaded for increased minimum content levels.
At the same meeting, the Council warned publicly “Ramil TV” for not respecting the broadcasting schedule and approved changes to the broadcasting schedules of several broadcasters.
