Boy under two killed because he did not want to sit on potty

A boy of only one year and seven months died after he was beaten by a relative who was taking care of him. The tragedy happened in Volovita region of Soroca district. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the secretary of the Volovita mayor's office Angela Nitrean said the boy's mother who raised him alone left abroad to work half a year ago. The child remained in the care of his aunt. The woman told the investigators that her son aged 31 got angry because the boy was crying and did not want to sit on the potty, and hit him. The child was projected into the stove and then fell and hit his head on the threshold. Seeing that the boy did not move, the man took him to the hospital by a taxi, but the doctors could not save him. Deputy prosecutor of Soroca district Vlad Cojocaru has told Info-Prim Neo that the man is under arrest. He faces up to 15 years behind bars.
