The leader of Democracy at Home Political Party, Vasile Costiuc, says that the director of "Gheorghe Asachi" High School, Boris Volosatâi, is the candidate proposed by the intellectuals for the position of mayor of Chisinau. His candidacy was approved at the permanent Round Table, attended by a number of intellectuals and some political leaders. At an IPN press conference, Vasile Costiuc mentioned that Boris Volosatâi did not stir up controversy, was supported by the intellectual class and had the ability to get through to the second round of the electoral race for Chisinau.
Boris Volosatâi' s candidacy will be filed with the Constituency Electoral Council if today and tomorrow, until the expiry of the registration deadline, the opportunity of submitting a right forces’ joint candidate does not present itself.
To spare the teacher the collection of signatures, Vasile Costiuc proposed him to run for mayoralty on behalf of Democracy at Home Party. As for the recently signed Cooperation Agreement between the ACUM Bloc and the PSRM, it must have a secret part and the Democracy at Home Party requests that it be published. "I tell you with all certainty that there is such a secret protocol, in which are stipulated a series of things concerning our common future." According to Vasile Costiuc, by signing the Agreement, the ACUM Bloc and the PSRM "buried their political future".
