Border Police has a new chief

Fredolin Lecari, who until recently headed the Center for Police Cooperation of the Ministry of the Interior, was appointed as Border Police chief by a Government decision on September 28, IPN reports.

Fredolin Lecari has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from “Stefan cel Mare” Academy of the Ministry of the Interior. He also studied at the Estonian School of Diplomacy, the FBI National Academy in the U.S, and has a master’s degree from the Academy of Public Administration of Moldova.

The post of chief of the Border Police fell vacant when Dorin Purice was named deputy minister of the interior this spring.
