The Border Police said the border crossing point “Vulcanesti” started to work in a normal regime, IPN reports.
The wharf-like border crossing points “Soroca”, “Cosauti” and “Vasilcau” remain closed owing to the ice bridges that appeared over the Nistru River.
Fourteen border crossing points located at the border with Ukraine, including three wharf-like points, stopped work or worked at reduced capacity following the recent heavy snowfalls that made the roads impassable. During several hours, movement through the Giurgiulesti-Galati customs post on the border with Romania was also restricted.
