The bomb scare at the Buiucani district head’s office turned out to be a hoax, the spokesman for the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir has told IPN. No explosive device was found in the building.
The employees of the district head’s office returned to work and Mihai Viteazul St was reopened for traffic. The man who called the police hasn’t been yet identified and the phone number from which he called hasn’t been determined.
The man faces a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to two years behind bars.
In the morning of May 8, a man phoned the police, saying a bomb was planted at the Buiucani district head’s office and it will explode in an hour.
