Bomb threat at Chisinau City Court

All the employees and visitors of the Buiucani and Centru branches of the Chisinau City Court were evacuated from the buildings after a man called the 112 Service and said that there were explosives inside these. The call was made at about 2:30pm today, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, the call was made by a Romanian-speaking man. The specialized services, including a bomb disposal team, rushed to the scene. The area was enclosed and searches are being carried out inside the buildings.

The police are taking measures to identify the caller. The person faces a fine of 27,500 to 42,500 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or a maximum jail term of two years.
