The bomb threat at the school in Manta village of Cahul district turned out to be false. The police said the caller who informed that the school was mined was identified. This is a local teen who wanted his friend to become free from classes.
Tamara Procopii, head of the press service of the General Police Inspectorate, said the adolescent was escorted to the police for questioning. He faces a fine of 400 to 1,000 lei. In the case of minors, the fine is paid by the parents.
The school in Manta is attended by over 250 students. The students and teachers were evacuated following a call made to the police this morning, December 9.
